Senior Procurement Officer

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
• Strong knowledge of sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation
• Experience in TT/LC banking processes (local, India & third countries)
• Understanding of customs regulations, HSN codes, and duty calculations
• Experience in shipment handling (road, sea, and air freight)
• Ability to manage supplier relationships (Nepal & India)
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic documentation tools
• Ability to handle purchase orders, invoices, and procurement records
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Team coordination and multitasking ability

• Source goods and services from reliable suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors
• Prepare and process purchase orders and requisition

• Review supplier proposals, quotations, and invoices
• Manage shipment booking (road, sea, and air)
• Track, receive, and ensure proper stocking of ordered items
• Coordinate timely delivery of materials and services
• Manage claims, losses, and discrepancies in shipments
• Handle TT/LC banking processes (local, India, and third countries)
• Ensure proper import-export documentation and compliance
• Perform customs tariff analysis including HSN codes and duty calculations
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors (Nepal & India)
• Attend vendor meetings and evaluate supplier performance
• Identify new vendors through market analysis and research

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required by the organization in a cost-effective and timely manner.
