- Escalation & Vendor Coordination: Handle L1 escalations and coordinate with L3 engineers, vendors, ISPs, and customers to ensure timely incident resolution.
- Network Troubleshooting & Configuration: Troubleshoot L2/L3 issues involving routers, switches, VLANs, MPLS, and Internet connectivity, and configure enterprise network devices based on customer requirements.
- ISP Access Network Support: Troubleshoot PPPoE, BNG/BRAS, DHCP, DHCP Relay, IP pools, VLANs, QinQ, FTTX, OLT, and customer access-related issues.
- L2 Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose VLAN, trunk, STP/MSTP, MAC flapping, network loops, broadcast storms, MTU, and interface-related issues.
- Network Monitoring & Performance: Monitor bandwidth utilization, latency, packet loss, interface errors, BGP sessions, CPU/memory utilization, and network availability using NMS tools such as Nagios, Cacti, Zabbix, and SmokePing.
- Routing Protocols: Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, and static routing, including route policies, communities, and route redistribution.
- Change & Incident Management: Execute approved network changes, maintenance activities, migrations, configuration backups, and incident resolution while maintaining proper documentation.
- MPLS & VPN Services: Provide basic troubleshooting support for MPLS, LDP, L3VPN, L2VPN, VPLS, and VPWS services.
