Junior VDC Engineer (MEP)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 1 year of experience in MEP design, drafting, or BIM/VDC projects
• Engineering license or relevant certification preferred
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret MEP shop drawings and construction drawings
• Basic knowledge of construction sequencing and installation practices
• Understanding of how MEP systems integrate with architectural and structural systems
• Familiarity with BIM concepts such as LOD (Level of Development)
• Knowledge of clash detection and coordination workflows

• Develop and update MEP models (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) in Revit
• Perform basic routing for ducts, pipes, and cable trays
• Ensure model accuracy according to project standards and LOD requirements
• Support creation of coordinated 3D BIM models for construction use
• Participate in coordination meetings with Architectural and Structural teams
• Identify clashes and design conflicts in BIM models
• Assist in resolving coordination issues under senior guidance
• Update models based on coordination comments and markups
• Prepare and revise MEP shop drawings and as-built drawings
• Ensure proper use of symbols, legends, and standards in drawings
• Assist in preparing construction documentation and deliverables
• Maintain organized model files and documentation records
• Support senior engineers in project delivery tasks
• Assist in ensuring MEP systems align with construction sequencing
• Follow BIM execution plans and project workflows
• Ensure compliance with safety standards during design and coordination stages
• Maintain accuracy and consistency in BIM models
• Follow company BIM standards and modeling guidelines
• Support quality control checks before submission or delivery
