Senior Backend Engineer (NestJS)

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs using NestJS and Node.js.

• Build modular backend architectures using controllers, services, modules, guards, interceptors, and middleware.

• Design and optimize PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases, including migrations, indexing, and query performance.

• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data access controls.

• Develop background jobs, scheduled tasks, queues, and event-driven processing.

• Integrate third-party services, OAuth2 APIs, webhooks, and external data exchange systems.

• Develop real-time features using WebSockets and implement document and data-file processing.

• Protect sensitive information through encryption, input validation, audit trails, and secure logging.

• Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and maintainability.

• Maintain API documentation and collaborate with frontend engineers and other stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience building production APIs using NestJS and Node.js with TypeScript.

• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, database schema design, transactions, indexing, and ORM tools such as TypeORM.

• Experience with MongoDB, Mongoose, Redis, and job queues such as BullMQ.

• Proficiency in REST API development, WebSockets, Swagger/OpenAPI, and request validation.

• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, JWT, OAuth2, SSO, and role-based access control.

• Experience with unit testing using Jest, integration testing, Docker, and Docker Compose.

• Knowledge of secure coding practices, data encryption, and API performance optimization.

• Ability to submit a CV detailing relevant projects, employment dates, responsibilities, team size, and technologies used.
