About the role
- Set up, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers.
- Manage web servers including Apache and Nginx.
- Perform server installation, migration, upgrades, patching, and routine maintenance.
- Monitor server performance, including CPU, RAM, storage, processes, and network traffic.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, access controls, and system configurations.
- Maintain stable, secure, and highly available production infrastructure.
- Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
- Configure cloud VMs, storage, networking, firewalls, security groups, and IAM.
- Monitor cloud resource usage and optimize infrastructure performance and costs.
- Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, and firewalls.
- Manage connectivity between servers, offices, cloud environments, and external services.
- Implement infrastructure monitoring using Grafana and other monitoring/logging tools.
- Configure alerts and proactively identify infrastructure and performance issues.
- Manage Cloudflare DNS, CDN, SSL/TLS, caching, firewall, and security settings.
- Monitor security events, unusual traffic, and potential infrastructure threats.
- Implement server hardening, access management, and security best practices.
- Manage regular server and database backups and verify backup integrity.
- Support disaster recovery planning and restoration procedures.
- Investigate and resolve server, network, cloud, DNS, SSL, and infrastructure issues.
- Respond promptly to system alerts and infrastructure incidents.
- Collaborate with developers and technical teams on deployment and application-related infrastructure issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, incidents, solutions, and infrastructure changes.
