Senior Wordpress Developer

• Strong understanding of website optimization, speed performance, and SEO best practices.

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing WordPress websites.

• Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented PHP and MySQL.

• Hands-on experience with WordPress themes, custom plugins, and page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg).

• Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party API integrations.

• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.

• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and maintain existing WordPress sites.

• Experience with cross-browser compatibility and responsive design.

• Knowledge of security best practices for WordPress sites.

• Knowledge of Laravel or other PHP frameworks is a plus.

• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, content creators, and project managers.

• Collaborate with the web development team to design, develop, and maintain websites and features.

• Build WordPress sites using modern page builders—primarily Elementor—while adhering to design specifications and performance best practices.

• Use custom CSS, HTML, and JavaScript to extend or override page builder limitations when necessary.

• Implement global design systems and templates within the page builder environment to ensure consistency across site pages.

• Optimize front-end performance within page builder constraints (lazy loading, asset optimization, minimal DOM bloat).

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following established standards and best practices.

• Participate in site reviews (often via screencast) to ensure quality, adherence to standards, and knowledge sharing.

• Work closely with developers, designers, and team members to implement responsive and visually appealing user interfaces.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web development and recommend improvements to our development ecosystem.

• Assist in the maintenance and improvement of existing websites.

• Construct all pages according to Web Development Standards and provided design guidelines.

• Collaborate with the team to submit completed pages for review and implement feedback as necessary.

• Implement basic SEO practices on each page, including meta descriptions, focus keywords, and preview images.

• Coordinate site launches, DNS updates, and database migrations to ensure URL consistency.

• Handle WordPress, theme, and plugin updates for all client websites
