    Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) is preferred. 5+ years of experience in WordPress development (with at least 2+ in a senior or lead capacity) building and maintaining complex, high-traffic websites. A strong portfolio of examples of previous work optimizing large-scale WordPress sites is a must.


    Technical Skills: Expertise in PHP and the WordPress API, including building custom plugins and themes from scratch. Skilled in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, React) and familiar with modern frameworks or libraries as needed. Solid understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility. Experience with MySQL database design and efficient query writing.Comfortable with using Git for version control and managing deployments; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, AWS, and agile development workflows.

    Performance & SEO: Proven experience in performance tuning for WordPress – using caching (object and page caching), CDNs, and other techniques to improve load times.Strong knowledge of Core Web Vitals and tools like Google PageSpeed Insights. Deep knowledge of SEO best practices – you stay updated on search algorithm changes and have implemented on-page SEO improvements that resulted in higher rankings. Experience with schema markup, JSON-LD, and optimizing content for targeted keywords is expected.

    UX & Accessibility: Good sense of web design and usability. Able to collaborate with designers to implement clean, user-friendly interfaces. Experience with WordPress page builders or block editor (Gutenberg) to layout pages is helpful, but also able to custom-code when needed for flexibility. Understands web accessibility guidelines and ensures new features are compliant (so that all users have a great experience).

    Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities – can debug complex issues and “figure things out” independently. Innovative mindset to proactively suggest improvements and new ideas. Strong communication and teamwork skills – able to work with non-technical stakeholders and clearly document changes. Highly organized and able to manage project timelines. A self-starter who takes ownership of projects from concept to deployment and is comfortable making decisions to achieve objectives

    Job Responsibility :-

    Website Performance & Core Web Vitals: Optimize site loading speed and responsiveness on both mobile and desktop. Implement caching, code minification, image compression, and other best practices to achieve excellent Core Web Vitals (fast LCP, low CLS, etc.). Continuously monitor performance and address bottlenecks to ensure our site is as fast as recommended by Google and provides a smooth user experience.

    Feature Development & Integration: Design and implement new website features and enhancements end to end. This includes developing interactive tools and forms (e.g., mortgage calculators, online application workflows). Ensure new features are integrated seamlessly into the site’s architecture and align with business goals (improving lead conversion and user engagement).

    UI/UX Enhancement: Work closely with designers to refresh the UI and improve usability, drawing inspiration from top-tier UX. Translate user feedback and analytics into UI improvements that make navigation intuitive and increase engagement. Ensure the site is fully responsive and adheres to accessibility standards for an optimal user experience on all devices.

    SEO & Content Optimization: Implement SEO best practices throughout the site. Optimize page structures, meta tags, schema markup, and URL structures for search visibility. Manage and improve plugins or tools for SEO (e.g., Yoast SEO) and collaborate with content teams to ensure new content is SEO-friendly. Continuously improve organic search rankings and strive to keep our SEO performance competitive in the mortgage broking domain.

    Site Maintenance & Security: Oversee the health of the WordPress CMS, including regular updates of core, themes, and plugins in a staging environment before production. Maintain a secure site by implementing security plugins and firewalls and monitoring for vulnerabilities. Perform routine backups and prepare recovery plans. Quickly troubleshoot and fix any website issues or outages, maintaining high uptime (as the site is critical for business).

    Analytics & Conversion Tracking: Implement and utilize analytics (Google Analytics, Google tag Manager, Hotjar, VWO, etc.) to track user behavior, conversion funnels, and page performance. A/B test new features or design changes to measure impact on lead generation. Use data to drive continuous improvements, aiming to increase lead conversion rates and lower bounce rates.

    Collaboration & Leadership: Work cross-functionally with marketing, content, design, and IT teams. Gather requirements and feedback from stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed. Effectively communicate project progress and challenges to non-technical team members.
