Senior Software Engineer

• 5+ years of experience developing complex and scalable web applications.

• Strong proficiency in building and maintaining backend services.

• Solid experience managing production environments.

• Hands-on experience designing and defining database schemas using MySQL or other RDBMS.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical risks.

• Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in global, distributed teams.

• Familiarity with Cloudflare Developer Platform (Workers, D1, Pages).

• SRE–AS and Kubernetes experience is compulsory; OCI experience is a strong plus.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development methodologies.

• Proficiency in Japanese is desirable but not mandatory.

• Work in a small Scrum team to design and build high-quality, customer-facing software.

• Build and maintain reliable backend services and APIs.

• Design, model, and optimize databases using MySQL and Cloudflare D1.

• Write unit, functional, and end-to-end tests to ensure high-quality, dependable software.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, peers, and cross-functional teams.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical discussions, architectural decisions, and design reviews.

• Strive for continuous improvement in customer experience, tools, and engineering processes.
