About the role
A. Strategy & Organiza onal Leadership
- Develop and execute the Forum's 3–5 year strategic roadmap in alignment with the Board's vision.
- Translate organiza onal objec ves into annual plans, priori es, budgets, and measurable KPIs.
- Build a high-performing and accountable secretariat/team.
- Establish effec ve governance, opera ng systems, policies, and repor ng mechanisms.
- Regularly report organiza onal performance, financial posi on, key ini a ves, and risks to the Board.
- Iden fy emerging opportuni es and challenges affec ng young entrepreneurs in Nepal.
B. Entrepreneur Ecosystem & Member Engagement
- Develop strategies to grow and retain a strong membership base of young entrepreneurs.
- Create meaningful pla orms for members to connect, collaborate, learn, and access opportuni es.
Develop programs such as:
- Entrepreneurship development
- Mentorship
- Leadership programs
- Business networking
- Investor/business matching
- Knowledge-sharing forums o Market and interna onal exposure
- Ensure members receive tangible value from their associa on with the Forum.
- Build a strong sense of community and belonging among members.
C. Government, Policy & Advocacy
- Represent the Forum in discussions with Government of Nepal, ministries, regulatory bodies, local governments, and other ins tu ons.
- Iden fy policies and regulatory issues affec ng young entrepreneurs and coordinate the Forum's advocacy efforts.
- Develop evidence-based policy recommenda ons and posi on papers.
- Build construc ve rela onships with policymakers and relevant government agencies.
- Posi on the Forum as a credible voice for Nepal's young business community.
D. Strategic Partnerships & External Rela ons
Establish and maintain partnerships with:
- Business associa ons
- Chambers and industry bodies
- Financial ins tu ons
- Investors and venture capital firms
- Development organiza ons
- Universi es and educa onal ins tu ons
- Interna onal entrepreneurship networks
- Corporate organiza ons o Media organiza ons
- Iden fy opportuni es for strategic collabora ons, sponsorships, grants, and joint ini a ves.
- Represent the Forum at na onal and interna onal business events.
E. Business Development & Financial Sustainability
- Develop sustainable revenue models for the organiza on.
- Lead sponsorship and partnership development.
- Iden fy grants, ins tu onal partnerships, membership revenue, event revenue, and other legi mate funding opportuni es.
- Prepare and manage the annual organiza onal budget.
- Ensure responsible u liza on of organiza onal resources.
- Work closely with the Board and Finance func on to maintain financial discipline and transparency.
F. Events & Flagship Ini a ves
Provide strategic leadership for major Forum events and ini a ves.
Oversee high-impact programs such as:
- Annual entrepreneurship summits
- Business networking events
- CEO/Founder forums
- Policy dialogues
- Startup showcases
- Mentorship programs
- Awards and recogni on programs
- Interna onal business delega ons
Ensure events create measurable value rather than becoming purely ceremonial ac vi es.
G. Brand, Communica on & Public Representa on
- Act as the public face and spokesperson of the Forum.
- Strengthen the Forum's reputa on, credibility, and visibility.
- Develop rela onships with na onal and business media.
- Promote the success stories and contribu ons of young entrepreneurs.
- Oversee communica on, digital presence, publica ons, reports, and thought-leadership ini a ves.
- Ensure consistent and professional representa on of the Forum.
H. Interna onal Rela ons
- Build rela onships with interna onal young entrepreneur and business networks.
- Facilitate interna onal exposure, trade connec ons, learning opportuni es, and collabora ons for members.
- Represent Nepalese young entrepreneurs in relevant interna onal forums.
- Explore opportuni es for cross-border partnerships and business delega ons.
